Ural Tansykbayev (1904-1974)

Ural Tansykbayevich Tansykbayev studied at the Penza Art School. The first Uzbek easel artist. In 1929, in Moscow, a strong impression on the artist was made by French post-impressionism, for the paintings of that period, critics called the artist "Uzbek Gauguin".

After exhibitions in Moscow and the United States in 1934, he was called "the head of Uzbek colorists".

In the 1950s, the main direction in his work was classical landscape ("Evening on the Syr Darya", "Steppe", etc.).

Nafisa Gilmanova
