Product research
Task 1: Read the web page and match the pricing models to these features. Which pricing model(s):
May have advertising inside the program? Freeware
Includes a regular fee, e.g. monthly?_ Subscription pricing
Has large updates that have a price and small updates that are free? Traditional pricing
Has several different prices for new users? Freemium pricing/ Tiered pricing
Makes it easier for the vendor to introduce upgrades often?_ Subscription pricing
Sometimes costs nothing? Freemium pricing
Traditional pricing
This is the pricing model most common in consumer software. If you buy software in a box from a shop, you’re probably using this model. Each major version of the software costs money; minor versions are free for licence holders. When a new major version comes out, licence holders have to pay extra but usually less than for a first purchase. Users can often try out the software for free for a short trial period.
Tiered pricing
In this model there are at least two levels (or tiers) of the software product. Each level has a different price and may have a different feature set, or allow a different number of users.
Freemium pricing
This model is just like tiered pricing but the lowest level is free. Often there are a very large number of free users, who act as advertising for the company. If a free user likes the program, they might encourage their employer to use it, who will then pay for premium features.
Subscription pricing
In this the buyer pays a regular fee, usually monthly, to use the software. This includes all updates, which are pushed out to the users. The advantage is that the software company can easily bring out updates frequently. This pricing model is often associated with cloud computing.
Freeware
As its name suggests, this is free software. It might be ad-supported. The disadvantage is that ads may take up space on the screen.
Task 2: Read the specification sheets and answer the questions: В этой таблице тарифы двух компаний:

Task 3: Write an email to the manager of the government department or the small company, advertising him/her which package in Task 1 is suitable for the following: a freelance person; a small company; a large government department. Give reasons.
To: Makhmudjon Sayfiddinov
From: Akbarxon Qodirjonov
Subject: Recommendation
Hello, dear Mahmudjon Sayfiddinov. I studied the proposals of Mikrasrft and Jozo. I think that the free tariff from Microsoft is more suitable for us. This plan has a maximum of 3 users, 1 website license, web support, a maximum of 5000 entries.
With best regards,
Mr. Akbarxon, Advertising manager
3.Making recommendations
Task 1: Read the text. Decide which CAD software given is best for each company and complete the chart below.
1.I’m a graphic designer. I own my own small company and work by myself in a small office. I design sales and marketing material for other companies. Until now. I haven’t done any three-dimensional design, though 3D may be useful in the future. Because I’m a one-person business, I can’t spend a lot of money. I can usually work out how to use software by myself, so training is not a problem. However, if I have a problem and I need support, I’ll need it quickly because my clients don’t like waiting for me. I don’t want to finish projects late because of software problems!
2.We’re a small company with seven architects, and 14 workers in total. We specialize in small projects and use IT for two things. The first is to help with the design process-actually designing the buildings-and the second is to show clients what their buildings will look like at different times during the day and at night. Our workers like using technology but they’re very busy and don’t have a lot of time to learn new software. We also don’t have a lot of money to spend at the moment.
3.We are a medium-sized toy company with several offices throughout the country. Our Design Department, here in Manchester, has 27 people. We need a CAD system to speed up the design process, and because buyers want to know what new toys look like. We also need to be able to output data to the manufacturing division, to program the machines used for making toys. In the past we used several different CAD packages, so the new system needs to be compatible with files from the old system. We’re happy to spend a lot of money if it’s a good product.

I’m a student. I ‘m very keen on using graphic design and special features related to my studies . That’s why I’m very in need the usage of CAD software. As I said above, I don’t have much resources of money, so I prefer Super CAD free tariff-plan. It has some problems to use, like limited recources, but it is enough for me. Because I’m a one-person business, I can’t spend a lot of money. I can usually work out how to use software by myself, so training is not a problem. I don’t want to finish projects late because of software problems!

Enterprise social media
Task 1: Prepare a PPT presentation. Use the following information.
S ocial media are increasingly implemented in work organizations as tools for communication among employees. As these technologies begin to proliferate across the enterprise, it is important that we develop an understanding of how they enable and constrain the communicative activities through which work is accomplished because it is these very dynamics that constitute and perpetuate organizations. Enterprise social media is a category of online communications channels dedicated to corporated-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration.
Social media is a phrase that we throw around a lot these days, often to describe what we post on sites and apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and others. So you can infer that social media are web-based sites that allow people to interact with each other.
But if we use the term to describe a site like Facebook, and also a site like Digg, plus a site like Wikipedia, and even a site like I Can Has Cheezburger, then it starts to get more confusing. Just what exactly is social media, anyway?
The term is so vague that it can basically be used to describe almost any website on the internet today. Or can it?
Some people have more of a restricted view of social media, often equating it to mean the same as social networking (a.k.a. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Other people don't consider blogs to fall under the social media category.
It seems as if everyone has their own personal opinion of what social media is and isn't. But let's dive deeper into the general concept to gain a clearer and more precise understanding.
S o, What Is Social Media?
Rather than define the term using a bunch of boring jargon that would probably only complicate things further, perhaps the best way to get a clearer understanding of it is to break it down into simpler terms. To start, let's look at each word individually.
The 'social' part: refers to interacting with other people by sharing information with them and receiving information from them.
The 'media' part: refers to an instrument of communication, like the internet (while TV, radio, and newspapers are examples of more traditional forms of media). From these two separate terms, we can pull a basic definition together:
Social media are web-based communication tools that enable people to interact with each other by sharing and consuming information.
Y es, it's a broad definition — but keep in mind that social media is a very broad term. This is likely as specific as we can get without zeroing in too much on a more specific subcategory of social media.
