INTRODUCTION
While the Romantic period was a time of abstract expression and inward focus, essayists, poets, and novelists during the Victorian era began to reflect on realities of the day, including the dangers of factory work, the plight of the lower class, and the treatment of women and childrenVictorian authors wrote poems and novels that commented on, and criticized, the way the Industrial Revolution and strict class divisions affected people, especially the lower classes. The Victorian era spans the years of Queen Victoria's reign (1837–1901).

1.THE ACTUALITY OF THE COURSE PAPER.: reveals it President signed on measures to bring quality to a new level of promotion of foreign language learning activities in the republic of Uzbekistan Since the countrys proclamation of independence, the English language has become increasingly important in all sectors of Uzbek life. Currently, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, much emphasis is being placed on a dramatic overhaul of the educational system, which will allow it to be brought up to modern standards.


2.THE AIM OF THE COURSE PAPER is give some main information about Victorian England in works of English Writers of the 19th century its influence on literature in the 19th centure. About a tremendous number of works and creation a new type of novel - a social novel
3.THE OBJECT OF THE COURSE PAPER. The Victorian period of literature roughly coincides with the years that Queen Victoria ruled Great Britain and its Empire (1837-1901). During this era, Britain was transformed from a predominantly rural, agricultural society into an urban, industrial oneIdealism: Though, the age is characterized as practical and materialistic, most of the writers suggest a purely ideal life. It is an idealistic age where the great ideals like truth, justice, love, brotherhood are emphasized by poets, essayists and novelists of the ageWilliam Thackeray, Charles Dickens, Brontë sisters, George Eliot and Thomas Hardy were the major writers of that era. William Thackeray was Dickens' great rival in the first half of Queen Victoria's reign
