4.1 Entering and Exiting Programming Mode 

4.1.1 Entering Programming Mode:  

Use the switch on the instrument.( on the Model 1010A the switch 

is located on the right hand side of the enclosure. This switch may 

be fitted with a lead tamper seal)

If the instrument is not idle. (for example, the instrument is in use 

by an operator, or a vehicle overfill or earth system is connected), 

it displays the following:  

 

In  this  case,  either  disconnect  the  permissive  to  bring  the 

instrument  to  the  idle  state,  or  wait  until  loading  is  complete  and 

then enter your password. 

If password mode is available the instrument displays the following:  

 

Enter a valid setup password.(the factory default for this password 

is 6789 but it may be changed under the GENERAL SETUP sub-

menu of the SYSTEM menu) 

If the password entered matches the setup password programmed 

in  the  instrument,  the  instrument  displays  the  software  version 

number. 

Press  “Enter”  to  show  the  time  and  date  that  the  application 

software was compiled. 

Press “Enter” to show the Weights & Measures software version. 

Press “Enter” to advance the display to show the time and date. 

Press “Enter” to show the instrument displays the Main Menu.
