THE SHAPE AND LENGTH ANALYZE OF THE ELECTRO-
CARDIOLOGICAL SIGNAL FOR MAKING A DIAGNOSTIC 
DECISION

Annotation
. The informative parameters of the electro-cardiological signal -the shape and length 
of the signal for the possibility of differential diagnostics of the functional states of cardio-vascular system- are considered. The values 
of these parameters are calculated for normal and for a number of pathological conditions of the cardio-vascular system. The possibility 
of the obtained results is shown.

Introduction 
Electrical instability of the heart is considered as a condition that has a multifactorial nature. Therefore, for its 
reliable predictions, a comprehensive analysis of all possible causes and triggering factors is required, including the 
balance of autonomic regulation (analysis of R-R distribution), the nation of ectopia during long-term monitoring
fluctuations of cardiac intervals, etc. Modern electro cardio graphic systems have wide diagnostic capabilities, so it is 
important to know and use their undoubtedly high research potential in wide clinical practice.
Some biomedical signals, including electro-cardio graphic (ECG) signals, have a fairly simple shape (P-T-waves 
and QRS complex). Easily identifiable signs of an ECG can be modified under the influence of external factors and 
pathological processes inside the body. Thus, it can be noted that the analysis of signal forms can be quite informative in 
the diagnosis of diseases. There is a relationship between the forms of biomedical signals with the characteristics of 
physiological and pathological phenomena that generate these signals.
