Greeting.
Checking HW. Ss will be divided into two groups and check their vocabulary turn by turn. They distinguish adjectives with the help of whiteboard whether it is positive or negative without saying any words.

Icebreaker. True false
Ss will be asked some questions related to the topic. After checking their background knowledge T will ask some questions.
1. Can you predict today's topic?
2. What film genres do you know?
3. Can you give examples to genres?

Watching video and noticing. Whole class work.
Before watching the video Ss will be given a word list with film genres.

  1. After watching the video Ss will be given 1 minute to mark film genres with a tick which they see in the video. T asks some questions. Then T shows some pictures from different movies and get Ss to identify its genres.

Reading. Exe 2a . Group work.
Ss will try to match the texts with film genres .

Speaking. Whole class work.
T gets Ss to share their likes and dislikes( film genres) turn by turn using previous vocabulary.( interesting, exciting, boring)
T models : I like drama but I don't like horror film. Ss will take turn.
T models: I like drama because it is interesting. I don't like horror film because it is frightening.

Talking about genres .
Each Ss should choose one genres from ex 2a to describe to their partner. They will have 1 minute to read one more time. Then T gets them to stand in two circles. They look at each other . The inner circle will describe first. Then outer circle will take turns

Mingle activity. Whole class.
T shows examples of questions about asking Ss's favorite films and tells them that they can add their own questions. Ss will have 2 minutes to think and take notes.Then Ss mingle and talk to each other.
