• The campus was used as a filming location for SBS's 2008 drama Star's Lover. It was used as the university where Kim Chul-soo, played by Yoo Ji-tae, is employed, for his lectures and for the visit to the school of Lee Ma-ri, played by Choi Ji-woo. Locations used included the gallery, Kyujanggak, and museum roads. This is the first time the university has allowed its campus to be used as a filming location.
• In May 2015, the 185th trip of the famous Korean variety show 2 Days & 1 Night advertised the university by holding various tasks on the campus in the show's very own fashion.
• In the hit 2016 tvN drama Reply 1988, Ryu Hye-young, who played Sung Bo-ra, portrays a Seoul National University student majoring in Math Education
• In the 2021 Netflix drama Squid Game, main character Cho Sang-woo's attendance at Seoul National University is a recurring plot point.
• In the 2021 Netflix drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, main character Hong Du-Sik is a graduate of Seoul National University.
• In the 2020-2021 SBS TV drama The Penthouse: War in Life, Seoul National University is portrayed as the ideal university to attend by many of the characters.

• This is an accredited online university in Korea with Seven departments,11 majors and more than 3,000 students.
