A diversity index was obtained to determine distributional diversity based on the individuals observed during the study. The diversity index is 0.73 for Shannon-Weaver and 0.7 for Brillouin.
During the research, pholidosis were studied in tortoises, and observations showed that they differed in width between 3-3, 6-6, and 8-8 marginal scales, and that this difference varied accordingly in different regional populations. To test this, we divided the width beetwen 6-6 marginal scales by the width beetwen 3-3 marginal scales. (W6M/W3M). Then we divided the width beetwen 6-6 marginal scales by the width beetwen 8-8 marginal scales. (W6M/W8M). To convert these two quotients into a single parameter, we divided (W6M/W3M) by (W6M/W8M) and the result was statistically checked using the XLSTAT program. We used the quotient ((W6M/W3M)/(W6M/W8M)) to separate a range of variants of different morphological individuals within a population.
Analysis of the obtained results shows that the arithmetic mean value of the individuals distributed in the regions (W6M/W3M)/(W6M/W8M) by the parameter: Desert A, Desert A1 and Desert A3 regions is µ≥1.3. The arithmetic mean of Foothill B, Foothill B1, and Mountain C is 1.1≤µ≤1.2. The arithmetic mean in Foothill B2 and Foothill B3 is 1≤µ≤1.02.
PCA was performed between parameters (W6M/W3M) and (W6M/W8M) to substantiate the results (Fig-9). The results of PCA showed that the tortoises distributed in Kashkadarya region on the parameters (W6M/W8M) and (W6M/W3M) are divided into 3 groups. The matrix template of the upper side of carapace of the subspecies was created on the basis of the literature and using the available exhibits (№-2115-A.h.horsfeildi, №-2135-A.h.bogdanovi, №-2144-A.h.rustamovi) from the collection of herpetology of the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
