The aim of the course paper. In this research paper the writer has expressed the role of women and the identity of the female world that have been revealed in the English literature from the 19th century up to the modern age of 21stcentury. The paper has shown the evolution of women’s characteristics after the ending of the First World War. This was the time that women learnt to come out of their comfort zone and they loved to break their old stereotyped nature which was incorporated in them by the male patriarchal society. The heroic approach or the powerful male identity has been diminished by multiple new women writers who had the feminist approaches in their minds. The paper has mainly mentioned the women writers like Charlotte Bronte.

The practical value of the course paper. In particular, the Brontë sisters will be discussed to illustrate women writers that challenged the patriarchal society of the nineteenth century. Through their novels and their heroines, the sisters addressed issues that their society faced and they did this in their own unique ways.
Special emphasis is placed on Charlotte Brontë and Anne Brontë, as well as their novels. Charlotte and Anne concerned themselves predominantly with problems such as gender roles and equality between the sexes. However, they were also concerned with the education of women and issues concerning the domestic sphere.
The structure of the course paper.
The following course paper is composed of a few paragraphs explaining evolvement of English females as writers. ²Firstly, the course paper is started with some general information collected as one full paragraph – introduction. Within the introduction, I try to reveal the reasons why this paper matters, which is followed by the paper’s aim, its practical value and what I am writing now – structure. During the other paragraphs, I try to explain the roles of English writers and the influence they had on English literature.
CHAPTER 1.THE ROLE OF WOMEN-WRITERS IN ENGLISH LITERATURE
