Online catalogue for support products for persons with 
disabilities
provides information on the National Agents and 
Support Products existing in the Portuguese market, based on 
the international classification ISO 9999: 2007. It is estimated 
that 10% of the Portuguese population (about 1 000 000 people)

have some kind of disability, thus requiring support products 
(devices, equipment, instruments, technology and software) to 
prevent, compensate, monitor, alleviate or neutralise any 
impediment, limitation of activity or restriction in the 
participation of active life.

services in different hospitals; appointments for hospitals)

Description:
The Citizen’s portal provides a wide range of information on 
public healthcare. In Portugal, an appointment at a hospital can 
be made by an intermediary or a health centre. An electronic 
network links those centres with hospitals.

This service does not apply to Portugal where Healthcare 
services are free. The provision of services by local Health 
Centres is part of the National Health Service. Expenses outside
