Foreign policy and its principles.
The main principles and priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan are:
- openness to cooperation regardless of ideology, commitment to universal values, preservation of peace and security;
- respect for sovereignty and recognition of the inviolability of state borders;
- non-interference in the internal Affairs of other countries;
- peaceful settlement of disputes;
- non-use of force or threat of force;
- respect human rights and freedom;
- priority of generally recognized rules and norms over domestic laws and legal norms;
- conclusion of alliances, joining and leaving the Commonwealth in order to ensure the highest interests of the state, people, their welfare and security;
- non – alignment with aggressive military blocs and associations;
- equality and mutual interest in interstate relations, the supremacy of national interests of the state;
- development of foreign relations on the basis of both bilateral and multilateral agreements, in the case of rapprochement with one state, not moving away from another.
