Introduction
On December 10, 2012, the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed Presidential Decree No 1875 “On measures to further improve foreign language learning system in order to enhance teaching and learning foreign languages in all educational directions in Uzbekistan”.1
“It is noted that in the framework of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “on education” and the National Program for Training in the country, a comprehensive foreign languages’ teaching system, aimed at creating harmoniously developed, highly educated, modern-thinking young generation, further integration of the country to the world community, has been created”.2
In his speech at the inauguration, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev stressed the need for a quality education and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation in the advancing of the development of the society and state. The President assured that “all the forces will be mobilized by our state and society for our youth to possess independent thinking, high intellectual and spiritual potential and could never concede to other youth from any other country, could be happy and sure of its bright future”.3
The above mentioned problems and issues on the reforms in Uzbekistan shows the actuality of writing this course paper in the sphere of English Language Teaching.
The word is one of the basic units of grammar, it combines its grammatical and lexical meaning with the matter of sound. The Russian linguist Y. S. Maslov defined a word as a minimal unit of language possessing positional independence. This definition notes the mobility of a word in a sentence, in case the same word can be in different positions A word acts as a complex structural-semantic unit and has a number of features. Depending on the nature of features, the grammatical structure of a word can be considered based on the typology of morphemes that form a word, and the main types of word base, as the leading element of word formation.
