Aims: ~To increase students awareness of writing reports. ~To enable students to evaluate writing skills. Materials: Successful writing. Warm up: 10 minutes. Procedure: Ask students some questions belongs to reports to check their background knowledge.
Activity 1 Analyzing report. Objective; To help students analyze reports. Time: 20 minutes. Materials: Handout 1. Procedure: Ask students to read the report and write down the topic of each paragraph. And ask them to answer the following questions. ~Is the style formal or less formal? ~What questions do you think were asked in the survey?
Suggested answer: Topics; ~System convenients of the public transport. ~Reasonable cost. ~Comments of people. ~Improvements. ~Style is formal.
Activity 2: Filling report with suitable headings. Objective; To increase students’ability to think logically. Time: 15 minutes. Materials: Handout 2. Procedure Ask students to read report and fill in suitable headings after that, ask their answers and discuss all of them.
