To rattle off (v.)
Definition(s): to say (something) quickly or easily from memory


Example(s): The well-prepared student rattled off the poem she memorized without any hesitation.


To lapse (v.)
Definition(s): to fall from an attained and usually high level to one much lower


Example(s): Because none of the executives had paid any attention to the quality of the company’s products, quality control began to lapse, and the products became very low quality.


To draw (v.)/drawing (n.)
Definition(s):
1. (verb) to cause to come out of a container or source
2. (noun) the process of deciding something by drawing lots (pulling pieces of paper from a container to see who receives the marked paper)


Example(s):
1. (verb) We drew slips of paper to play the game of charades.
2. (verb) We decided who would go first by drawing slips of paper with numbers on them.


Proper (adj.)
Definition(s): marked by suitability, rightness, or appropriateness 


Example(s): The outfit the student chose to wear was not proper for school based on the uniform guidelines.


Interminably (adv.)
Definition(s): having or seeming to have no end
Example(s): The teacher talked interminably the whole class, and all the students fell asleep.
